What I am trying to accomplish . . .

This page is written by and owned by Alan Huestis. I am descended from Thomas Huestis through Joshua, Richard, Sidney, Roy and Robert Huestis.

I am the last of the Huestis' still living in Cumberland County - I live and work in Wentworth, about 20 minutes up the road from Wallace. We are now a far-flung tribe but there is continuing interest in who we are and where we came from. It happens that I have the time (just barely) and the inclination to post my information on this website, so I have done so. I invite family and friends with additional information and corrections to pass them along to me, and I will put the new information up. We are missing a feel for the people behind the flat names and dates, so I would be particularly interested in receiving stories from people who have knowledge of the lives and accomplishments (great and small) of the Huestis'. I have asked my father for some notes on his parents and grandparents, and I will post them as soon as they are available. I would ask all of the other Huestis' out there to do the same - tell us a little about your family, who they were, what they did, what they were known for, what made them proud. Write to me . . .
